BOARD OF DIRECTORS AND MANAGEMENT TEAM1. Dr. (Mrs.) Mary Essang, Chairman B.A., M.A., PhD. (Educational Administration), FIAM, JPDr. (Mrs.) Mary Essang graduated with B.A. in Education and worked as an English teacher in a few secondary schools. Later she obtained her Masters and Doctorate degrees in Educational Administration which aided her to rise from the ranks as a class teacher to a senior lecturer in the University of Calabar from 1990 – 2000. Currently, she is the Chairman of Mutual Alliance Savings & Loans Limited and has brought her wealth of experience to impact positively on the image of the Bank.2. Okon Amasi, CEO B.Sc.Biochemistry, PGD. Chemical Engineering, MBA (Finance).Mr. Amasi has over 16 years experience in commercial banking, Mr. Amasi out of which over 5 years was spent in Executive Management. Mr. Amasi’s core area of competence includes Banking operations, Treasury operations, Commercial and Consumer banking as well as public sector Marketing/Corporate Finance.Mr. Amasi has worked in several banks including Diamon Bank Ltd, United Bank for Africa Plc and Societe General Bank Ltd. Mr. Amasi is member of Nigerian Institute of Marketing and the Institute of Directors as well as Chairman of many companies including Procom Dynamics Ltd., Satellite Wireless Networking Nig. Ltd. He is a director in several companies including De-Petraco Leasing Ltd., First Assurance Plc, Dowell Engineering & Construction Ltd as well as a member of the Governing Board of the Institute of Management & Finance. Mr. Amasi was awarded the Distinquished Alumnus Award by the University of Uyo. He has served in various capacities in the Public service and is a member of Nigerian Economic Summit Group and is presently on the board of Abuja Investment Company (the Investment arm of the Federal Capital territory). Mr. Amasi was awarded the chieftaincy Title of Iberedem Uyo (i.e. Pillar of Uyo) by the Paramount Ruler of Uyo, Akwa Ibom State for his outstanding achievements and contributions to Akwa Ibom State. Mr. Amasi is happily married to Mbuotidem and has two sons. 3. Busayo A. Fawale, M. Sc Finance, ACCMA, ANIM, ACA. Mr. B. A. Executive Director (Business Development)Fawale is a Chartered Accountant with over ten years working experience. He started his working career as a Civil Servant in 1989, rose to the post of a Senior Accountant where he performed duties as an Accountant and Internal Auditor for several years. In year 2007, he joined Mutual Alliance Group Ltd as Manager (Corporate Planning/Business Dev.) and presently an Executive Director (Business Development) in Mutual Alliance Savings and Loans Ltd.(Mortgage Banker).Mr. B. A. Fawale is an Associates Member of the Nigerian Institute of Management; the Chartered Institute of cost and Management Accountant; and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria.4. Mrs. A. E. Amasi, B.Ed., M.Sc. (MIS, Ibadan) Executive Director, Support ServicesMrs. Arit Amasi has over 22years teaching experience with 6years experience as top-level administrator in various schools. As an educationist, she managed different ages of people. She is a seasoned administrator with competence in human resources management and training. She has taught in various schools including Federal Government Girls College, Calabar, where she rose to the level of Vice Principal–Administration and later Chief Education Officer (CEO) of Federal Ministry of Education, Abuja. Mrs. A. E. Amasi joined Mutual Alliance Savings & Loans Limited in September, 2001 as one of the pioneer management staff – ED(SS). She has served in many charitable organizations including as Patron of the Girls Guide Society, Save the Children Campaign.5. James Taylor, Director,B.Sc. Economics, PGD (Finance)Mr. Taylor is a Management consultant and a shrewd businessman with over 15years experience in the financial Services industry. He started his career in Money Market Investment Limited and later moved on to Mandate Trust & Finance Limited as Managing Director/CEO. He is a director of several companies including First Assurance Plc. Mr. Taylor is currently the Managing Director/CEO of Herculus Security Nig.6. Dienye Peterside, Director, B.Sc. Geography & Planning, FNIMNMr. Peterside is a Leasing expert with over 10years experience in leasing, he started his working career at Infonet Nig. in January 1990 and moved to Isengi Communications Limited from where he was seconded to International Securities Ltd (a division of Allstates Trust Bank Ltd), In October 1990 he joined De Petraco Nig. as Executive Director, Marketing/Sales/Credit Control.Mr. Peterside is a fellow and a national council member of Nigerian Institute of Marketing and Nigerian Institute of Management. He is a director in several companies and presently the Managing Director/CEO of De Petraco Leasing Nig. Limited. 7. Mrs. Uduak Ntekim, HND Accountancy; PGD Accounting, MBA Finance Divisional Head, Operationss/Fincon/ITMrs. Uduak Ntekim obtained upper credit and distinction respectively in accounting from her academic pursuit and has brought same excellenceinto her banking career. She has over 8 years experience in the Banking industry and her core competences includes banking operations, Treasury operations, financial control as well as consumer marketing. She has worked with Savanah Bank of Nigeria, Access Bank of Nigeria Plc., Amykon Ventures Nig. as financial controller. Mrs Ntekim has attended several courses in Nigeria and abroad including graduate school, University of Witwatersrand, South Africa. 8. Kunle Oluwatomi, Chief Inspector, Advance Diploma ManagementMr. Kunle Oluwatomi has over sixteen years banking experience. He served with CBN Account Department, between 1988 to 1996 and the Society General Bank Ltd Port Harcourt Branch as Custom Service Officer from 1996 – 1999 and branch Operations Manager of the Bank from 2000-2005 from where he joined Mutual Alliance Savings & Loans Ltd. Mr. Kunle is happily married with three Children.9. Mr. Timothy Etim, Head Accounts & Payments, MBA Accounting, ACTI, ACAMr. Etim is an Accounting Graduate from the Polytechnic, Calabar, he holds an MBA in accounting from the Federal University of Technology, Owerri; a member of ICAN and Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN). Mr. Etim worked with PEACOCK PAINT LTD, Etinan, Akwa Ibom State as the Chief Accountant and Cost/Management Accountant respectively. He joined Mutual Alliance Savings & Loans Ltd in year 2007 as Head, accounts and payments.10. Mr. Evong Bassey, HND Accounting Head, Risk Management/Mortgage Unit,Mr. Evong Bassey an Accounting graduate from the Polytechnic Calabar, Cross River State with more than six years banking experience. He served with the SGBN Ltd. as Teller, Customer Service Officer, Funds Transfer Officer and in the Franchise Unit. Mr. Evong Bassey joined Mutual Alliance Savings & Loans Ltd. from 2004 and has risen to the Position of Head, Risk Management/Mortgage Unit. He is married to his Pretty wife with 2 children.11. COMFORT ISNAG, HUMAN RESOURCES OFFICER, B.Sc. ECONOMICSMiss Comfort Isang obtained B. Sc in Economics, she started her career with Em –Evra Gold Ltd a Construction Company in Jos, Plateau State as a Cashier in the company in 1999. she latter picked up teaching for few years with Estaport Secondary School, Gbagada Lagos where she held different positions and responsibilities until her voluntary resignation on December 2005. Miss Comfort partook in the 2006 National Census as a Supervisor and later proceeded to Calabar Cross River State where she became a Manager of Cotton Valley Hotel. Miss. Comfort Isang joined Mutual Alliance Savings & Loans Ltd in January 2008 as the Human Resources Officer. |
